Here At 60 Mello

We simply never thought you’d leave us. Unabashed love running through our veins. Life’s lessons would never have been the same had you not been our strength both in life and now in death.

You, our newest angel, yet forever our matriarch, watching from a different place as we struggle with the loss of your voice. We know you’re still here – but the voice is a different one now. It’s just as stern, yet more uplifting. Just as loud, yet somehow soft.

You wrapped us all up in one blanket we call family. We were never cold. We were never wanting. We just thought you would always be there. We just thought we would have a chance to say goodbye. We just thought you would tell us it was your time to go. We just thought you’d say everything would be just fine.

And when it wasn’t, we couldn’t call you, though I know some of us tried. We thought you’d answer because you always did…we didn’t know how to function otherwise. Our breaths are shallower now, we are forever in limbo. We are forever changed. We are forever with you. Here at 60 Mello.
